I started having sex when I was [none of your business] years old and as far back as I can remember women have been telling me something along the lines of: “I know you can get sex whenever you want.” If this is true, I don’t know who they expect me to acquire it from because it sure as hell isn’t from women.

I was minding my business on Twitter the other day when during a period of downtime I decided to check out my new followers. I stumbled upon one named “Pleasure Ellis” who is one of MC Hammer’s artists. Yes, the MC Hammer.
After watching one of his videos, which I have taken the liberty of linking below, I honestly had a lot to say, BUT my mother raised me to believe that if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all, so that’s exactly what I’m going to do. You, however, can watch and draw your own conclusions – and if you are so motivated, feel free to leave a comment below.

I spent most of this weekend trying to figure out what I was going to write about this week. The funny thing is it didn’t even cross my mind to write a “Father’s Day blog.” Not because I take my father for granted, but because I have begun to view his actions as the standard. After all, it is all I’ve ever known.

My friend sent me the following quote a few years ago buried in an otherwise cheerful email on the various updates taking place in her life:
“I still walk through life unseen, unheard, and having no proverbial impact on anything. I wish for things that are more fairy tale than real. I wake up, I go to work, I come home. The end. I’d say sad, huh, but I know you can relate. I wish there were more but I realize that even with what I’ve ‘accomplished’ I still feel like I have nothing…”
